a random glitch happened that caused my rings to keep going up and up and up and now i have over a thousand rings.

It's not a glitch, if you look in the game description it says that if you collect a lot of rings in a short period of time your ring count can increase dramatically.

Good game but the screen randomly went black in the middle of a boss fight.

That's very strange, did you happen to switch tabs at all? That can cause the game to crash sometimes.

Also [spoiler alert] does the ending imply that this takes place in the same canon as Pico's School and Cassandra is an alien?
